Job Requirements

  • Five years’ experience in logistics or forwarding industry
  • minimum of three years’ customs brokerage or customs regulations focused role
  • ability to perform essential duties without health or safety risks
  • must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • knowledge of US customs compliance
  • willingness to undergo background check
  • able to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of customs laws, practices and procedures
  • knowledge of FDA, Fish and Wildlife and other government agencies regulations
  • excellent organizational, written and verbal skills
  • strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Cargo Wise platform brokerage
  • detail oriented and able to multitask
  • self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team
  • able to interact positively with co-workers, subordinates, supervisors and government officials

Job Duties

  • Oversee customs entry specialist personnel compliance and training
  • manage transactions and interactions with US CBP, ISF, CFS, RLF, and other government agencies
  • educate and train staff on customs brokerage operations
  • assist customers on compliance requirements and import concerns
  • supervise ISF filings to ensure 100 percent compliance
  • ensure timely payment of duties and company outlays
  • serve as subject matter expert for entry processing sector
  • partner with local dispatch team to manage daily freight movement and customer issue resolution
