Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, international trade, business administration, or related field
  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs management
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, international trade, business administration, or related field
  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customs management, preferably within perishables or temperature-controlled freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and customs clearance processes
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with clients
  • Proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise customs operations, including import and export clearance for perishable cargo
  • Ensure compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, TSA, and other U.S. regulatory agencies
  • Maintain current knowledge of customs laws, tariffs, and industry standards
  • Prepare and file customs documentation, including entry summaries, invoices, and certificates of origin
  • Resolve issues related to customs holds, delays, or non-compliance in a timely manner
  • Facilitate accurate customs entries, duty payments, and tariff classifications
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to customs procedures
  • Collaborate with airfreight and warehouse operations to coordinate seamless shipment handling
  • Maintain strong relationships with customs officials, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders
  • Anticipate and mitigate customs-related risks, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Generate reports on customs activities, clearance times, and compliance performance
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for audits and compliance reviews
