Job Description
Porter Logistics is a rapidly expanding third-party logistics (3PL) provider based in Atlanta, Georgia, that specializes in modern warehousing and fulfillment solutions. Since its inception over a decade ago as a modest two-person operation in a 10,000-square-foot warehouse, the company has seen significant growth. Today, it operates more than 1 million square feet of warehouse space across several facilities in Georgia. Porter Logistics partners with clients who hold high expectations for accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence, reflecting the company's commitment to delivering top-tier service consistently.
Porter Logistics places a strong emphasis on disciplined execution and continuous improvement with a keen focus on safety and quality, establishing a work environment where teams are encouraged to take initiative and ownership of their responsibilities. The company culture is characterized by a close-knit team atmosphere where individuals are known by name, and their contributions have tangible, visible impact daily. The management style promotes recognition of hard work and offers real opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Employees at Porter Logistics thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting where they face varied challenges and can develop their skills without limitation.
The Customer Success Representative (CSR) role at Porter Logistics serves as a vital link between clients and the warehouse operations team. The CSR is tasked with ensuring smooth, accurate order processing and delivering exceptional client service. In this hybrid role, the CSR also supports shipping and outbound logistics functions, acting as a critical bridge communicating client orders and priorities to the warehouse staff. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration between clients and internal teams.
On a daily basis, the CSR manages essential activities such as processing orders in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), generating pick lists and shipping documentation, confirming orders are completed properly, and handling the billing of shipments. The role also involves greeting and assisting drivers upon arrival, ensuring all shipping paperwork is accurate, and helping coordinate loading and unloading operations at the warehouse. Given its critical nature, the CSR role offers those passionate about logistics the chance to directly influence customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
With a focus on career development, Porter Logistics seeks candidates who bring previous experience in customer service or operations support, preferably within the logistics, warehousing, or supply chain sectors. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Outlook, and Word, along with familiarity with WMS systems. Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, an ability to multitask efficiently, and a team-oriented mindset with a steadfast sense of ownership and accountability. For individuals eager to grow in a challenging, rewarding environment with limitless opportunities, Porter Logistics provides an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and impactful team.
