The Customer Service Representative at Ashley serves as the critical frontline ambassador of the brand, directly influencing customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. This role is essential in creating positive customer experiences through excellent service and administrative support. Positioned at the first point of contact, the Customer Service Representative manages interactions in-person, over the phone, and via email, representing Ashley's brand image with a warm and professional demeanor. They assist with a variety of office functions and support store operations, including sales order processing, customer account management, and financial procedures under the supervision of store management.

This role demands strong communication and organizational skills to handle cash transactions accurately, ensure compliance with operational policies, and support audit and inventory processes. The representative also addresses customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary to management and following through to resolution. Collaborating closely with sales, merchandising, and other store personnel ensures a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, retail management software, and Microsoft Office Suite is required to perform job functions effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions
  • Minimum 1 year of customer service, office, or administrative experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Maintain reliable attendance
  • Thrive in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and professionally, Provide exceptional customer service via in-person, phone, and email communications, Assist with processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, Manage customer credit applications and financing arrangements, Maintain accurate customer account information, Follow established cash handling procedures and reconcile transactions, Resolve customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management, Support operational audits and inventory processes, Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports, Collaborate with sales and merchandising teams to ensure efficient store operations, Utilize point-of-sale and retail management software effectively, Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
