Job Requirements
- Able to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
- Able to push or pull a baggage cart and operate baggage equipment such as tow tractor
- Must be skilled in processing all types of Amtrak tickets and understanding tariffs for correct pricing
- Qualified with the operation of Arrow, RailRes/Stars, and QuikTrak
- Position governed by all corporate, company, and station policies
- Familiar with the operation of Passenger Information Display System
- Must have a high school diploma or GED

- Skilled in processing all types of Amtrak tickets with thorough understanding of tariffs
- Qualified with the operation of Arrow, RailRes/Stars, and QuikTrak ticketing systems
- Familiar with the operation of Passenger Information Display System
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude
- Comfortable interacting with customers and using public address systems and Amtrak computer systems
Job Duties
- Greet, service, and ensure the general comfort of each passenger
- Provide assistance to customers with special needs, assist passengers with luggage and boarding trains
- Make ticket reports promptly and safeguard company funds properly
- Prepare and maintain related station reports
- Care for and perform preventative maintenance on ticket printers and Quik-Trak machines
- Keep all information racks filled as needed
- Perform miscellaneous clerical duties in the station
- Disseminate verbal and printed information to passengers, including schedules, fares, routing, city highlights, and boarding information
- Ensure all passenger train boardings are timely
- Verify passengers are properly ticketed and comply with baggage requirements prior to platform admission
- Perform janitorial duties
- Handle checked baggage and company materials in the station and on/off trains
