Job Requirements

  • obtain a Parking Attendant License
  • ability to stand and walk regularly
  • ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance
  • ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • maintain punctuality and uniform dress code
  • availability to work various shifts including 2nd, 3rd shifts and weekends as needed
  • ability to understand and comply with company policies
  • valid state-issued driver’s license if driving is required
  • willingness to adhere to equal employment opportunity policies

Job Qualifications

  • less than high school education or one month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
  • ability to write simple correspondence
  • effective communication skills for one-on-one situations with customers and employees
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using units of American money
  • neat and clean appearance
  • ability to maintain uniform standards

Job Duties

  • direct incoming customers to available parking spaces
  • count vehicles on location throughout shift as needed
  • write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors violating garage policies
  • patrol transient and reserved parking levels on foot or in customized motor carts
  • provide assistance to customers who have forgotten their parking location
  • be punctual, present and in uniform at all scheduled shifts
  • courteously assist customers by answering questions and directing to Facility Manager if necessary
  • control traffic at entrances and exits as needed
  • assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and general maintenance tasks as directed
  • report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to Facility Manager
  • communicate presence of debris, water, oil spills etc. to garage office
  • substitute for valets when authorized
  • maintain thorough knowledge of garage areas, nearby streets, landmarks and freeways
  • assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed
