Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older to work in California and Oregon
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older to work in Washington and for graveyard shifts or management
- Available to work various hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces
- Ability to bend, lift, push, and move products using proper techniques
- Frequent handwashing and adherence to personal cleanliness standards
- Must comply with CSI's safety, security, and food handling guidelines
- Must be sufficiently proficient in English
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Cooking or restaurant experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in English to understand policies, safety training, and job instructions
- Effective communication skills with customers and coworkers
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally with good judgment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Up-to-date food handling certificates as required by law
- Prior cooking or restaurant experience preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain courteous and professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and community at large
- Maintain neat appearance and good personal hygiene following CSI image standards
- Support and follow established safety, security, and quality guidelines including company policies and procedures
- Report accidents or incidents to management immediately
- Preserve safety of self and others by utilizing the CSI Loss Prevention process
- Follow food safety hygiene standards in compliance with county regulations
- Enforce federal law and company standards for carding age-restricted products
- Work professionally with vendors and contractors
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Follow kitchen and sanitation procedures in accordance with city and county regulations
- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and thanking customers
- Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely including retail and fuel transactions
- Maintain cash drawer at or below maximum level and perform end-of-shift reconciliation
- Perform consistent cleaning of indoor and outdoor facility areas
- Prepare food and hot beverage products managing inventory effectively
- Promote store specials and marketing programs actively
- Cross-check deliveries for accuracy and distribute goods in store
- Observe local laws when activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
