Job Requirements

Must be physically fit and able to lift, bend and stand for up to eight hours
must be able to balance on step stool or ladder
must be able to work in a cooler at 32 degrees
must be able to lift 25 lbs
must be able to perform basic math
must be able to speak, read and write English
must have good communication skills
must be punctual and dependable

Job Duties

Provide a friendly greeting to all customers upon entering the store or on the phone
get to know customers and use their name
go out of the way to make customers feel important and valued
move quickly to provide fast service
suggestive sell to customers when appropriate
thank customers for their business and invite them back
clean and maintain restrooms including floors, toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls, and ceilings
ensure soap, towels and toilet paper are stocked
empty and clean trash cans
clean doors, windows, floors, coolers, rugs, transaction counters, shelves, fast food area, back office, coffee and fountain areas
maintain outdoor cleanliness including parking lot, windows, doors, entrance sidewalk, trash cans, fuel islands and car wash
stock, front, and face all merchandise
bag ice if necessary
price all merchandise
stock fountain, cooler, and freezer
brew coffee
remove out of date merchandise
move and build displays
manage proper cigarette display and product pricing at sales counter
stock lottery supplies and cigarettes
check in vendors and gas deliveries
operate POS, lottery, phone card and money order machines
attend store meetings
