Job Requirements

  • Must be available to work Fridays
  • Maintain highest level of customer service greeting every guest with a warm smile and positive attitude
  • Ability to perform basic data input functions on laptops, tablets, or handheld devices
  • Clear communication with peers and guests
  • Follow company policies, procedures and cruise brand standards
  • Dependable attendance and appearance
  • Available to work 2-3 days per week including Fridays during cruise season
  • Flexible and willing to adapt to schedule or position changes as requested by on-site supervisor

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current enrollment for students aged 16 or 17 with parental consent accepted
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to interact and work as a team member with integrity
  • Basic mathematical skills to handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Passion for customer service excellence
  • Ability to work around large groups of people

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist guests to navigate inside and outside the cruise port terminal ensuring correct paths for embark and debark
  • Assist guests disembarking the vessel including locating luggage, completing lost luggage forms, and providing directional assistance through customs and toward ground transportation
  • Perform various roles within the port terminal including guest check-in and providing directions as needed
  • Conduct check-in procedures using laptops, tablets, or handheld devices according to cruise line brand standards
  • Review and verify the validity of travel documents to ensure compliance with US and international law
  • Guide and monitor guest flow throughout terminal including secure areas, transportation, walkways, check-in areas, gangways, elevators, and escalators
  • Assist guests requiring wheelchair assistance during embark and debark processes
  • Support pier setup and breakdown at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Respond to guest inquiries accurately and pleasantly providing information about boarding and sailing
  • Perform additional job-related duties to ensure smooth operation of the day
