Job Description

Wawa is a well-established and beloved convenience store and coffee chain known for its commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality food and beverage offerings. Founded on the principles of putting people first and doing the right thing, Wawa has built a reputation for creating positive experiences in communities through its extensive range of fresh food items, specialty beverages, and friendly service. The company operates numerous stores across the United States, providing a welcoming and safe environment where customers can enjoy everything from breakfast sandwiches to coffee and fuel services. Wawa emphasizes a culture of respect, inclusivity, and teamwork, ensuring employees feel valued and supported in their roles.

As a Customer Service Associate (CSA) at Wawa, you will be the friendly face and the first point of contact for customers. This role is vital in embodying the Wawa brand by delivering excellent customer service and ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience every time someone walks into the store. The CSA role involves greeting customers warmly, addressing their needs quickly and courteously, and preparing a variety of delicious food items including breakfast options, built-to-order sandwiches, specialty drinks, and pizzas. Additionally, CSAs operate the cash register, handle payments, manage fuel and gift card activations, and assist with lottery and age-restricted product verifications.

Beyond serving customers, the role requires maintaining store cleanliness and orderliness, performing housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal. CSAs also play a crucial role in stocking shelves and ensuring the store environment is safe and inviting at all times by adhering to established policies and procedures. The position requires the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment and thrive as part of a team.

Wawa offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $16.50 to $20.25, depending on experience, position, and location, along with a shift differential of $1.50 for overnight hours between 12am and 6am. Employment at Wawa means joining an organization that values diversity and inclusion and is committed to equal opportunity in all employment practices. Wawa provides reasonable accommodations to applicants and employees as needed, ensuring access and fairness in the hiring process and beyond.

This customer-focused role offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage; participation in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); 401(k) plans with matching contributions; and an education assistance program. Associates also enjoy paid parental leave, store discounts, paid time off, flexible scheduling, and access to wellness programs. The CSA position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about creating positive customer interactions, enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, and are looking for a rewarding role within a respected retail chain that continues to grow and innovate.
