Renowned for its commitment to quality service and fresh food offerings, Wawa has cultivated a loyal customer base by consistently putting people first and fostering a welcoming, community-focused environment. As a beloved brand, Wawa emphasizes doing the right thing for its customers and associates, driven by core values that include respect, integrity, and customer satisfaction. This strong cultural foundation supports an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued, and all associates are encouraged to contribute their best. The company offers meaningful and inclusive benefits that support associates financially, physically, and emotionally, reflecting the company’s dedication to its people. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and mental health programs, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) matching, an Education Assistance Program, paid parental leave, store discounts, paid time off, flexible schedules, and wellness programs. Wawa is an equal opportunity employer committed to fair treatment and non-discrimination in all hiring and workplace practices.

The Customer Service Associate (CSA) position at Wawa is pivotal in delivering the exceptional customer experience that the company is known for. As the friendly face of Wawa, a CSA welcomes and serves customers with a positive attitude, ensuring that each visit is pleasant and efficient. This role involves engaging with customers warmly, addressing their needs promptly and courteously, and maintaining the store’s inviting atmosphere. CSAs prepare a variety of food items including breakfast options, made-to-order sandwiches, specialty beverages, and pizzas, while ensuring cleanliness and organization of the coffee station. They operate cash registers, handle payments, activate fuel and gift cards, assist with lottery sales, and verify IDs for age-restricted products, playing a key role in complying with legal and company standards.

CSAs also take responsibility for keeping the store fully stocked, ensuring shelves are fresh and inviting, which enhances the overall shopping experience. Maintaining cleanliness and safety within the store is crucial, involving completion of housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash to meet established policies and procedures. This hands-on position demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking effectively and contributing positively within a teamwork setting.

Compensation for the CSA role is competitive, with an hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $18.75, commensurate with experience, position, and location. Additionally, there is a $1.50 shift differential for hours worked between midnight and 6 AM, acknowledging the dedication required for overnight shifts. Wawa also provides reasonable accommodations to support applicants throughout the hiring process, reinforcing its commitment to accessibility and fairness. Join Wawa as a Customer Service Associate and become part of a company that values its associates and customers alike, offering a rewarding career with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.
