Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
exceptional customer service and communication skills
completion of background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test
ability to read, write and speak English and/or Spanish
maintain professional relationships with employees and clients
strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of personnel and public
ability to apply independent judgment within established guidelines
comprehension of airport procedures and instructions
capability to manage stress in a high-volume public setting
eligible for CBP seal and able to pass criminal background check
physically capable of standing or walking for entire shifts
able to lift and move up to 70 pounds

Job Duties

Communicate with supervisor on duty at all times
review daily manning and assignments
provide wheelchair services by transporting passengers to assigned doors and terminal curb
ensure compliance with security procedures during wheelchair assistance
operate and manage security at checkpoints by greeting passengers, verifying boarding passes and baggage
oversee security in bag room by tracking and logging baggage stickers
monitor assigned gates and jet bridges for unauthorized access
perform cleaner counts and record relevant flight timings
secure ramp areas by managing baggage carts and watching for suspicious items
assist passengers and staff at airline counters with baggage weighing, tagging, and loading
report any irregularities or losses to prevent damage
