The Supervisor Logistics role at Ryder is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day logistics operations at the facility. Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, the supervisor ensures that all logistics processes adhere to company standards and meet customer service expectations. Key duties include supervising, coordinating, and managing the logistics team, establishing work schedules, monitoring performance against key site indicators (KPIs), and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. This role requires the ability to coach, train, and develop team members while maintaining positive labor relations and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and security protocols. This full-time, salaried position operates on a schedule from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a competitive compensation of $60,000 annually. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations
  • Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes ensuring compliance with company standards and customer specifications
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
  • Accountable for site key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Work in collaboration with customers in all aspects of operations
  • Meet regularly with team members collectively and individually to monitor progress, track performance, coach and recognize successes
  • Cultivate team spirit with a diversity and inclusion initiative and promote cooperation by seeking process improvements
  • Carry out performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary procedures
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations
  • Implement health, safety and security initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Provide orientation and necessary resources to employees and Lead Hands
