The role of the Member Service Professional (MSP) at American Express is a vital position located within the prestigious Centurion Lounge at the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX). This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about delivering superior customer service and creating memorable experiences for premium Card Members. The MSP functions as an ambassador for American Express, directly interacting with Card Members in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. This role requires a high level of skill, professionalism, and enthusiasm to provide tailored concierge, travel, lifestyle, and card services that enhance the value of American Express membership.

MSPs at the Centurion Lounge embody the company’s Customer First philosophy by welcoming Card Members warmly, managing their entire visit experience, and resolving any concerns innovatively to build loyalty. The professional environment promotes teamwork and collaboration, where MSPs work closely with food and beverage partners and other lounge staff to accommodate guests’ needs. This role demands excellent communication skills, quick decision-making, the ability to adapt to changing situations, and a passion for service excellence. Working hours span from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday, with flexibility required to cover nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience servicing premium customers
  • Ability to make quick and effective decisions
  • Ability to rely and collaborate with colleagues
  • Must be resourceful and tech-savvy
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required
  • Employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Commitment to professional and positive customer interactions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience servicing premium customers
  • Airline, lounge or travel industry experience preferred

  • Welcoming and providing access to Card Members upon arrival at reception
  • Being accountable and taking ownership of the customer experience from beginning to end

  • Providing concierge and lifestyle recommendations
  • Providing travel consultation and minimal reservation assistance
