Job Requirements

  • must have reliable transportation
  • less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as, cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc.
  • required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, will also require you have proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Qualifications

  • basic math skills including adding, subtracting two-digit numbers, multiplying, and dividing by 10 and 100
  • knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and common volume measures
  • valid driver’s license required if driving own or company vehicle with proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • bilingual skills are a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, and polishing metal and wood
  • waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to disposal areas
  • light maintenance tasks including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms
  • comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures and intervene in risky behavior
  • follow all company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules
  • respond to supervision and take direction
  • use proper personal protective equipment
  • present a professional appearance and conduct
  • understand reporting systems and environmental standards
  • transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
  • straighten areas including lobbies and conference rooms
  • assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
  • clean elevators, spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets, dust open common spaces
