Job Requirements

  • must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator Driver License with an acceptable driving record
  • regular, reliable and punctual attendance
  • basic understanding and ability to speak, read and write English
  • ability to lift, push and pull 20 lbs
  • pre-employment physical required
  • must be able to pass a background check

Job Qualifications

  • ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions and product warning labels

Job Duties

  • maintaining facilities by vacuuming, mopping and sweeping floors
  • cleaning windows
  • sanitizing counters and other surface areas
  • polishing metal
  • changing filters
  • removing and replacing sanitary supplies
  • wiping down equipment
  • stripping and waxing tile floors
  • shampooing carpeted areas
  • dusting furniture
  • maintaining restrooms and locker rooms by replenishing supplies
  • cleaning and disinfecting toilets, urinals, walls, stalls, sinks, showers, mirrors and counters
  • scrubbing and mopping floors
  • cleaning and sanitizing showers, mats and drains
  • collecting trash and recyclable materials
  • disposing of waste or debris
  • restocking supplies and monitoring inventory and usage
  • checking and cleaning equipment daily
  • inspecting areas for hazards and spills
  • notifying supervisor of supply and equipment needs and safety concerns
  • communicating courteously and effectively with employees, officials and the public
  • reading and understanding verbal and written instructions and product warning labels
  • working in all county buildings including medical facilities and Medical Examiner’s building
  • performing other duties as assigned
