This role is the entry-level position within the Custodial Services series, specifically designed for individuals tasked with maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of assigned facilities managed by the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. This is a physically demanding job requiring stamina and attention to detail, where incumbents will be responsible for a variety of custodial duties that support the overall upkeep and hygiene of public buildings and grounds. Responsibilities cover routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and kitchens. Additionally, this role involves managing supply inventories and preparing venues for events, requiring flexibility and timely execution.

The custodial worker may use various cleaning tools and equipment and must be able to perform manual labor tasks like moving furniture and materials safely.
