They offer a variety of comprehensive benefits to support their employees’ well-being and career growth.

The role of a Custodian at SBM is a critical position that ensures the cleanliness, sanitation, and general maintenance of designated areas to uphold health and safety standards. This part-time position involves performing janitorial duties based on a daily schedule and includes handling hazardous waste responsibly. The Custodian will operate various motorized cleaning equipment and maintain the assigned areas in optimal conditions. As a Custodian, the individual must be able to follow safety protocols meticulously, utilize proper personal protective equipment, and report any hazardous conditions or incidents to the supervisor. The role demands a professional demeanor, effective communication skills with coworkers and customers, and an ability to work well in a team setting. The Custodian supports the shift lead by completing punch-list items and may be required to fill in during staff shortages. Physical demands include the capacity to lift or move up to 35 pounds and the ability to carry out repetitive tasks while maintaining a clean work environment. No supervisory responsibilities are associated with this position, making it ideal for individuals seeking operational roles focused on hands-on maintenance and support.

SBM also prioritizes employee training and certification, expecting custodians to complete all mandatory safety and task training, with certifications such as forklift operation being a potential requirement. The company values employees who bring knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment care, and chemical safety to the role and those who are willing to share this expertise with the team. Bilingual abilities are considered a plus, supporting effective communication in diverse settings. Overall, the Custodian position at SBM offers individuals a chance to contribute to a stable and growing company where teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction are core values.
