Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of custodial work experience preferred
- custodial training desired
- ability to stand or walk for long periods
- ability to go up and down stairs
- ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, and stoop
- ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed
- ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
- ability to see details on floors, above head, or on surfaces

Job Duties
- Comply with all agency policies and contract specifications
- comply with uniform dress code and personal hygiene standards
- clean all assigned areas per contract specifications
- clean and disinfect restrooms and washable surfaces in public areas
- descale showers, toilet bowls, and urinals
- keep restrooms supplied with paper products and soap
- perform routine glass and mirror cleaning
- scrub tile and wash walls
- vacuum area rugs and carpets
- sweep and mop floors
- pull trash and recycling and place in proper receptacles
- dust and polish furniture, metal surfaces, clean glass tabletops and plexiglass
- clean and disinfect kitchenettes, break rooms, fitness centers, health centers, and child care centers
- clean walls, partitions, window blinds, and sills as required
- clean corners, crevices, moldings, ledges, door jams, metal strips, and overhead surfaces
- clean elevators and escalators
- clean and police building exteriors, garages, and janitor closets
- keep tools and supplies clean and orderly
- empty and clean public ashtrays and urns
- spot clean and service restrooms
- perform or assist with special restoration work and emergency cleaning
- attend work regularly and report on time
- attend required meetings and in-service training
- pass and comply with building and security requirements and procedures
