This position is situated within the Tech Square Phase 3 (TS3) initiative, a major development project consisting of two towers named Scheller Tower and George Tower in recognition of notable benefactors. The project encompasses over 416,500 square feet of space featuring state-of-the-art facilities designed to foster academic and entrepreneurial activities in an inspiring urban setting.

The role available is for an advanced custodial services specialist. This position is responsible for performing sophisticated custodial and housekeeping tasks that maintain assigned facilities to the highest standards of health, safety, and sanitation. While this position does not include supervisory responsibilities, it involves advising and counseling staff to ensure effective and seamless housekeeping operations. The role also requires interaction with staff on a regular basis. The position is part-time, capped at 20 hours a week, with shifts scheduled on weekends from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, located in Atlanta, GA. The salary rate is $18.90 per hour. The successful candidate must pass a background check prior to employment.

The custodial duties include assigning and inspecting cleaning tasks, performing specialized cleaning operations, maintaining supply inventory, responding promptly to service requests, and operating or maintaining various power equipment relevant to custodial services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliable independent work capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. No driving or travel is required for this position, nor does it have financial or purchasing responsibilities. The job grade for this role is C3B.

Job Duties

  • Assign and inspect custodial and housekeeping work and related projects and activities to maintain unit and facility cleanliness levels and appearance
  • perform specialized cleaning operations necessary to ensure unit and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner
  • maintain supply inventory necessary to successfully perform routine and detailed custodial services
  • respond to system-transmitted service requests
  • transport custodial employees to and from work assignments, as necessary
  • operate and/or maintain assigned power equipment related to custodial services, as required
  • perform other duties as assigned
