The Custodian position at Saxe Middle School is an essential role within the Maintenance and Custodial department. This role focuses primarily on evening shift duties, specifically from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, working full-time at 40 hours per week. The custodian will report directly to the Facilities Manager and is supervised on a day-to-day basis by the Head Custodian. This position is fundamental in assisting with the cleaning and upkeep of the physical plant including classrooms and other key areas of the middle school. The custodian’s work is guided by district policies as well as state and federal statutes concerning school facility operations and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the school. Responsibilities go beyond general housekeeping and include ensuring the welfare of the entire facility by paying close attention to potential hazards and clutter.
