Job Requirements

Minimum of one year of custodial experience
Must be able to read and follow written instructions in the proper execution of assigned tasks
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
May need to work or travel beyond normal work schedule
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Willingness to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and stooping

Job Qualifications

Minimum of one year of custodial experience
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Effective communication skills to interact with diverse individuals
Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds
Authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

Answers questions and provides information to staff, faculty, students, and visitors
Assists in securing building by closing all windows and locking windows in basements and first floors
Bonnet clean and/or shampoo carpet
Cleans all interior glass and mirrors
Cleans assigned spaces by vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors and dusting furnishings and equipment
Collects and removes trash from offices and classrooms and polices public areas
Maintains custodial areas, equipment, and supplies in a neat, clean, and orderly manner
Removes ice and snow from building entrances
Sanitizes restrooms and replenishes towels, soap, and toilet paper
Scrubs, strips and refinishes floors
