The custodian's responsibilities extend beyond basic cleaning duties, encompassing general yard work such as landscaping, trash removal, and maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, and replacing air conditioner filters. This role demands someone who is detail-oriented, physically able to perform a variety of tasks such as bending, twisting, squatting, and pushing/pulling equipment, and who has good organizational skills and chemical awareness. The position requires adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain compliance and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism in interactions with coworkers and customers, possess fundamental communication skills, and be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- ability to bend, twist, squat and push/pull equipment
- basic verbal and written communication skills
- good organizational skills
- physical ability to stand or walk for eight hours and do light lifting consistently
- ability to follow instructions and complete training
- availability to work varying hours due to operational needs

Job Duties
- Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust entire office area
- empty trash
- clean restrooms
- perform general yard work including cleaning, trash pickup, grass cutting, and garden maintenance
- maintain parking areas to keep free of trash
- clean dock and dock apron
- perform minor building repair and paint as needed
- change light bulbs in office area and on dock
- change air conditioner filters
- comply with all applicable laws, regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- perform other duties as required
