Job Description

The Oneida Nation Gaming Division is a prominent and respected entity within Wisconsin, known for delivering premier casino entertainment experiences. As the state\'s first choice for casino entertainment, the Oneida Nation is committed to upholding a vision centered on professionalism, accountability, respect, integrity, and sincerity. Their mission revolves around gaming professionals collaborating to provide a friendly, safe, and enjoyable gaming environment for both internal and external customers. The Division operates with high standards not only in gaming but also in the quality of its facilities and services, making it an appealing employer for individuals seeking to contribute positively to the casino entertainment industry.

This particular position is a custodial role within the Gaming Division, offering an hourly wage of $15.45, which is non-negotiable. Employees in this role are eligible for a wage increase upon successful completion of the probationary period, demonstrating the organization's commitment to rewarding dedication and performance. Additionally, there is a structured shift differential pay system in place which offers additional compensation depending on the hours worked, accommodating various shifts including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts. This reflects the Division's flexible work schedule and the need for staff to be adaptable to meet operational demands.

As a custodian, the role involves performing basic and routine custodial duties critical for the upkeep and maintenance of the Gaming Division’s facilities. The responsibilities include ensuring exceptional customer service, which is vital in the hospitality and gaming service sectors, maintaining cleanliness across all areas by emptying refuse containers, refilling dispensers such as soap and paper towels, and cleaning mirrors and windows. Furthermore, the position requires dust mopping, wet mopping floors, and vacuuming carpets to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all patrons and staff.

Working in a casino setting presents unique challenges such as exposure to a high noise level and presence of dust, fumes, and chemicals. Employees must be prepared for a dynamic and sometimes physically demanding work environment where safety precautions like wearing safety-toe shoes, goggles, or gloves may be necessary. The role demands flexibility, as work is scheduled across all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call periods. This adaptability underscores the importance of reliability and commitment in supporting the Division’s continuous operations.

Moreover, the Oneida Nation Gaming Division is firmly committed to equal opportunity employment, not discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, or disability. They also prioritize individuals of Indian ancestry and veterans in the hiring process, in accordance with legal regulations. This ethos fosters a team-oriented culture that values diversity and inclusion, making it an ideal workplace for motivated individuals who seek to contribute positively to the gaming industry while growing their own careers. The comprehensive nature of the custodial position ensures that each employee plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards of the gaming environment, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the overall reputation of the Oneida Nation Gaming Division.
