As a Custodian at SBM Management Services, LP, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across the assigned areas. This position is responsible not only for the routine janitorial tasks but also for handling hazardous waste in compliance with safety regulations. You will operate motorized cleaning equipment, maintain the upkeep of work zones daily, and help foster a clean and safe environment. This role requires adherence to company procedures, safety policies, and the use of personal protective equipment, all while upholding a professional demeanor.
The Custodian will work collaboratively with team members and supervisors, supporting other staff during shortages and assisting shift leads with punch-list items to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. Strong communication skills are essential for reporting incidents, understanding customer service expectations, and interacting professionally with co-workers, supervisors, and customers.
The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a competitive hourly wage of $17.50. Job Duties
- Perform janitorial duties
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Perform hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
