Job Requirements
- 6-month experience working as a custodian or housekeeper in Navy Gateway Inns & Hotels, hotels, hospitals, or similar locations
- knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved chemicals
- familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
- proficiency operating all in-room appliances
- ability to use Property Management System software for updating room status
- accurate completion of daily room status reports and housekeeping assignment sheets
- ability to apply cleaning knowledge to tasks
- safe and proper use of hand and powered tools
- capability to schedule and prioritize work respecting No Service/Do-Not-Disturb requests
- ability to navigate web-based Learning Management System and complete e-learning training
- no formal education required
Job Qualifications
- 6-month experience in custodial or housekeeping roles in Navy Gateway Inns & Hotels, hotels, hospitals, or related fields
- knowledge of cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment use
- ability to operate in-room appliances such as coffee maker, television, clock radio, and telephone
- proficiency in using Property Management System software
- capability to complete daily housekeeping reports accurately
- knowledge of general cleaning procedures
- ability to use hand and powered tools safely
- judgment skills to prioritize tasks and respect guest preferences
- competency in navigating web-based Learning Management Systems and completing e-learning training
Job Duties
