The position requires the employee to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds and continuously stand, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods, highlighting the physical nature of the job. Effective custodial service is essential in ensuring the health, safety, and satisfaction of all visitors and staff.

In this role, you will use a variety of equipment such as brooms, lightweight vacuum cleaners, mops, and floor scrubbers to sweep, dry mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors. Dusting, waxing, and polishing furniture, cleaning windows and walls, and maintaining sanitary conditions in restrooms form part of your daily duties. You will also manage the stock of cleaning materials and report to supervisors when supplies run low or equipment requires maintenance.

Candidates must be U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or legally owe allegiance to the United States, with three or more consecutive years of residency in U.S. territories immediately preceding the federal affiliation. This role requires candidates to pass a background investigation, satisfy employment verification processes, and provide authorized identification for access to the installation. The position does not require a security clearance and is open to the public with certain preference and eligibility categories recognized during the selection process.
