- two years experience with cleaning school environments or similar
- familiarity with SDS
- understanding of basic cleaning equipment operation
- ability to work in teams
- ability to respond to school emergencies
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assess all areas of the school and clean as necessary
- prepare and stage cleaning supplies
- maintain a supply of and account for cleaning supplies and equipment
- comply with chemical handling laws and safety regulations
- answer questions and interact professionally with school administration
- clean and maintain building facilities including classrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, hallways, gymnasiums, lunchrooms, and other areas
- perform room set-ups for scheduled meetings and events including daily cafeteria set-up
- sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using cleaning solutions and equipment
- clean and polish walls, ceilings, windows, door glass, and building fixtures
- launder towels and mop heads
- dust furniture, walls, light fixtures, baseboards, student desks, and other equipment
- gather and empty trash throughout the campus including exterior areas
- clean and sanitize bathrooms daily
- clean and service cleaning equipment
- apply wax or sealers to floors as directed
- assist in building security including locking and unlocking doors
- assist with routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb and filter changes
- notify management of needs regarding materials, supplies, or major repairs
- operate various tools and equipment including hand tools, vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning chemicals
- follow HAZMAT regulations and Safety Data Sheets
- perform other duties as assigned
