Aramark is currently hiring a Custodial Assistant Manager to join the Post Team at Constellation Field, the home of the Houston Space Cowboys, one of Minor League Baseball's premier stadiums. This position is event-based and plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of the stadium to provide an outstanding fan experience. During the off-season, typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm, with overnight cleaning scheduled on weekends when events occur. During the active season, the Custodial Assistant Manager oversees overnight cleaning teams, typically working from 9pm to 5am.

The role demands dependable team members who take pride in their work and enjoy contributing to a professional sports environment. As a Custodial Assistant Manager, you will assist management in maintaining and improving cleanliness quality through frequent inspections, training, and enforcing employee accountability. This includes employee coaching and counseling aimed at maintaining high morale and developing frontline associates continuously. The position requires building strong employee and customer relationships while ensuring departmental policies are followed. Supervisory responsibilities include scheduling, conducting inspections for safety and quality, managing inventory, overseeing maintenance and repairs, and supporting special projects and new team members.

This leadership role involves a combination of hands-on custodial work and administrative duties, including auditing equipment and payroll, facilitating communication related to cleaning challenges, and providing operational support during emergencies or adverse weather conditions. Candidates should be physically capable of performing various custodial tasks, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have prior supervisory experience. The Custodial Assistant Manager at Aramark is essential in ensuring that Constellation Field maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors, reflecting the high standards expected in professional sports venue management.

Job Requirements

  • 3 plus years minimim prior supervisory experience required
  • Must be physically able to lift, lower, push and pull objects up to 50 lb. unassisted
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, stoop and crouch for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to initiate and maintain good customer and co-worker relationships in a team environment
  • Demonstrates good written and verbal skills and can follow oral or written instructions and directions
  • Bi-lingual preferred (English and Spanish)
  • Demonstrates strong customer service, interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Conduct daily and frequent inspections for quality and safety and implement corrective action
  • Understand all employee work assignments and schedule for adequate coverage
  • Conduct training and retraining as needed and follow recommended training process
  • Enforce department policies, follow up on daily assignments, and conduct counseling or disciplinary action
  • Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with associates, peers, customers and managers
  • Supervise special projects and on-call or new employees
  • Audit building keys, pagers, and payroll daily
