Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or dietary aide role preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Ability to lift moderate weight and perform physical tasks
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred high school graduate or equivalent education (GED)
  • ServSafe certification encouraged but not required
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and dietary restrictions
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Willingness to attend educational programs and department meetings

Job Duties

  • Help create a restaurant-style dining experience through serving meals, customer service, and collaboration
  • Follow written and oral instructions, follow diet orders/tray cards and work assignments
  • Ensuring that meal orders are delivered accurately, and any special request or dietary restrictions are noted and followed
  • Perform defined work routines
  • Assist with cleaning routines after meals have ended and setting up for next meal
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by Culinary Director
  • Attend scheduled department meetings
  • Attend educational programs
  • Follow defined safety codes while performing duties
  • Follow Infection Control procedures
  • Understand community's fire and disaster plans
  • follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies
  • Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and community's rules, regulations, policies and procedures
