Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Up to two years related work experience preferred
ServSafe Food Safety Certification or training required
Food allergy training essential
Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds and 100 with assistance
Must be emergency essential personnel and able to report during inclement weather
Schedule flexibility is important
Must adhere to uniform standards
Ability to follow chemical guidelines according to MSDS
Must complete yearly required trainings
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment

Job Duties

Ensure all pots and pans are thoroughly cleaned, organized, and stored in accordance with operational standards
Set up, clean, and maintain the dishwashing machine to ensure optimal functionality and cleanliness
Set up, clean, and maintain the pot sink area, ensuring it remains hygienic and efficient for use
Stock the kitchen daily with aprons and cleaning towels to support daily operations
Help with light food preparation as needed to support kitchen operations
Promptly clean up spills in both the service and kitchen areas to maintain a safe and clean environment
Sweep and mop at the end of every shift
Adhere to all daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
Monitor trash levels and disposal of waste as needed to ensure a tidy and functional workspace
Maintain a work area that is properly set up, stocked, rotated, organized, clean, safe, and fully functional always
Monitor the pot sink area to be sure that all chemical levels are correct using chemical test strips
Keep all chemicals properly stocked and always labeled
Will be called upon to assist with putting orders away in other locations as needed
Follow all Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines to ensure the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Provide excellent customer service by serving guests in a friendly, professional, and attentive manner when necessary
Assist with the setup, service, and cleanup of catered events as required, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained
Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested
