Job Description
Delaware North Sportservice is a renowned hospitality and food service company that operates concessions, premium dining, and restaurants at iconic venues such as Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Since the opening of the state-of-the-art 41,500-seat ballpark in 2016, Delaware North has been providing exceptional food and beverage experiences to fans attending Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves games. As part of a global legacy that spans more than 100 years, Delaware North is family-owned and prides itself on offering unique career growth paths across various industries including sports, gaming, hospitality, and national parks. The company culture emphasizes teamwork, inclusivity, and personal and professional development, making it a desirable employer in the hospitality sector.
The role of a Culinary Supervisor at Delaware North Sportservice is a seasonal opportunity tied to the baseball season which runs from March through October, with potential extension during playoff games. This position is ideal for an experienced cook with at least two years of line cook experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Culinary Supervisors play a critical role in maintaining food quality and safety standards while leading kitchen staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The job requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work collaboratively to deliver an outstanding guest experience. The hourly pay rate is $22.00, reflecting the importance of the role in supporting game day operations at Truist Park.
As a Culinary Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising team members, ensuring proper food preparation and production processes are followed, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within kitchen workspaces, including walk-ins and freezers. You'll also oversee food labeling, rotation, and storage to uphold safety and quality standards. The position requires performing both opening and closing duties as well as side work to support overall kitchen operations. Managing food costs effectively within parameters set by culinary leadership is essential, along with partnering with team members and restaurant managers to ensure guest satisfaction. Physical demands of the position include standing and walking for extended periods, manual dexterity to chop and mix ingredients, and the ability to lift and carry heavy pans weighing up to 50 pounds.
Delaware North values its employees by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible team members may also qualify for health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. This commitment to employee well-being highlights Delaware North's dedication to offering comfort, security, and growth for its team, all while delivering excellent service to thousands of guests at Truist Park.
If you thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced work environment and have a passion for culinary excellence, this seasonal Culinary Supervisor role at Delaware North offers an exciting chance to contribute to memorable game day experiences. Join a company that not only values its legacy but also supports your individual career ambitions in the vibrant hospitality industry.
