The Culinary Supervisor role at Delaware North Sportservice is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about delivering exceptional food quality and guest service in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position is available for both full-time and part-time employment, offering hourly pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00. Culinary Supervisors play a pivotal role in managing kitchen teams during game days and events, ensuring that food preparation standards are consistently met while maintaining kitchen operations and compliance with safety and hygiene protocols.
The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience in cooking and team leadership to guide team members effectively while fostering a positive, productive kitchen environment. Key responsibilities include supervising food preparation and production, maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas like walk-ins and freezers, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is functional. Culinary Supervisors will also oversee proper food breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage to optimize quality and reduce waste. Additional duties involve performing opening, closing, and side work duties, maintaining food costs as prescribed by leadership, and partnering with restaurant managers and team members to ensure guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip, etc., a variety of foods and liquids
- Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 lbs
- Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
Job Qualifications
- No college degree required
- At least two years' experience as a line cook, including supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with others and lead in a fast-paced environment
- Attentive and detail-oriented
- Basic math skills with an ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions
Job Duties
- Supervise all team members and ensure food preparation and production meet quality standards
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers and ensure all kitchen equipment is in working order
- Effectively supervise proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
- Actively work to maintain food cost within parameters set by culinary leadership
- Partner with team members and restaurant managers to satisfy guests
