Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role in food production
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Authorization to work legally in the country
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production supervision
- Knowledge of quality and cost control procedures
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with front-of-house management
- Familiarity with state and local health regulations
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Prepares and directly supervises kitchen staff responsible for the daily preparation of all food items
- Checks mise en place before service time and inspects presentation of food items to ensure that quality standards are met
- Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor of food
- Coordinates food service involving communication between kitchen and service staff
- Attends all shift meetings
- Personally works in any station as assigned by the Executive Chef
- Finds creative ways to utilize food scraps, items from freezer and main kitchen
- Supervises kitchen personnel to assure highest productivity and professional conduct
- Maintains highest level of sanitation standards at all times
- Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
- Ensures that all work areas are safe and secure and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisor
