Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • sanitation certification or willingness to complete within the first year
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage a team effectively
  • availability to work sporadic evening and weekend shifts
  • physical ability to perform duties
  • problem-solving skills
  • strong attention to safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • capacity to manage emotions effectively under pressure
  • ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts efficiently

Job Duties

  • Scheduling tasks and managing production processes
  • create and manage employee schedules
  • supervise day-to-day tasks for efficient functioning
  • ensure food production meets safety and quality standards
  • maintain food safety and temperature records
  • update inventory weekly
  • oversee maintenance and upkeep of kitchen equipment
  • monitor and assess staff performance
  • provide guidance and support to staff
  • ensure workplace safety and hygiene compliance
  • cover for absent employees
  • maintain effective communication with team members
  • participate in team meetings
  • promote positive relationships and communication
  • manage catering schedules and support event preparations
  • perform cashier duties
  • assist with additional projects as assigned by management
