Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • ability to work full-time
  • completion or willingness to complete sanitation course
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to multitask and manage time effectively
  • flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • basic mathematical computation skills
  • strong organizational and meticulousness abilities
  • effective emotional regulation under pressure
  • skillful in addressing interpersonal conflicts

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production safety and quality following policies and protocols
  • ensure safe and organized storage of food products
  • maintain adherence to serving times and menu requirements
  • uphold hygienic standards according to health and safety regulations
  • accurately document food safety and temperatures and address issues promptly
  • update inventory weekly
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • conduct routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and productivity
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • cover for missing staff as needed
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in team meetings
  • encourage positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on catering schedules for timely event preparation and delivery
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill cashier responsibilities
  • assist with additional tasks as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
