Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service supervision or management
- completion of sanitation certification within the required timeframe
- ability to work full-time including potential evenings and weekends
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- capability to handle physical demands of food service environment
- adherence to health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
- completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
- skilled in managing food service programs to optimize costs and efficiency
- ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- strong organizational and meticulous attention to detail
- effective emotional regulation under pressure
- conflict resolution skills
Job Duties
- Scheduling tasks and managing production processes
- create and manage employee schedules
- supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
- uphold food production safety and quality standards
- maintain hygienic divisions complying with health and safety statutes
- ensure accurate completion of food safety and temperature records
- maintain inventory and equipment by updating stock weekly and recording maintenance needs
- conduct routine equipment inspections and recommend upgrades
- monitor and evaluate staff performance to foster development and productivity
- provide guidance and support to food service staff
- maintain a safe working environment and cover for missing staff as needed
- communicate regularly with employees and participate in meetings
- promote positive team and client relationships
- manage daily catering schedules for events
- work evening and weekend catering functions when required
- fulfill cashier responsibilities
- assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned
