Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion of sanitation certification within the first year
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication skills
  • capability to lead and motivate a team
  • physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • willingness to participate in ongoing training and development

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing food service programs for cost and efficiency optimization
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • strong organizational and meticulous skills
  • capacity to manage emotions effectively under pressure
  • skill in resolving interpersonal conflicts
  • previous supervisory experience is preferred
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
  • maintain food safety and quality standards
  • ensure safe and organized storage of food products
  • uphold hygienic conditions per health and safety regulations
  • accurately complete records documenting food safety and temperatures
  • maintain updated inventory records weekly
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • perform routine maintenance inspections and suggest equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance for development and productivity
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe, hazard-free working environment
  • cover for missing staff as needed
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in team meetings
  • promote positive relationships among team and clients
  • oversee daily catering schedules for timely preparation and delivery
  • work evening and weekend catering functions as required
  • perform cashier duties
  • assist with projects assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
