Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion or willingness to complete a sanitation certification
  • strong communication skills
  • leadership abilities
  • reliable and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • basic math skills
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to follow all health and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing food service programs to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • strong organizational and meticulous skills
  • ability to regulate emotions under pressure
  • skill in addressing interpersonal conflicts effectively

Job Duties

  • create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production safety and excellence according to policies and departmental criteria
  • maintain secure and organized food storage areas
  • ensure meals are distributed safely and on schedule adhering to menu requirements
  • follow hygienic standards compliant with health and safety statutes
  • accurately document food safety records and address related issues
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • keep maintenance records of equipment
  • implement routine maintenance inspections and recommend upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance for development and motivation
  • provide guidance and support to staff on operational guidelines
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment
  • cover for absent staff members as needed
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in staff meetings
  • promote positive relationships among team members and clients
  • stay updated on catering schedules to ensure timely event preparation
  • work evening and weekend catering functions when required
  • perform cashier tasks
  • assist with projects assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
