Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations
  • capability to handle physical demands of the role
  • valid food handler certification if required

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • proficiency in understanding and executing written and verbal instructions
  • ability to manage a food service program efficiently
  • competency in basic mathematical calculations

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
  • uphold food safety and quality standards
  • maintain accurate food safety and temperature records
  • ensure secure and organized food storage
  • monitor and assess staff performance
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • keep inventory updated and maintain equipment records
  • implement routine maintenance inspections
  • cover for missing staff as needed
  • participate in team meetings
  • encourage positive communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on catering schedules and assist with event preparation
  • fulfill cashier responsibilities
  • assist with additional tasks assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
