Job Requirements
- Be between the ages of 17-40
- be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- submit to background and medical screening
- receive a passing score on the ASVAB
- meet physical fitness standards required by the U.S. Army
Job Qualifications
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- interest in cooking, home economics, health, mathematics, accounting, and chemistry
- pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
- ability to work in both team and independent settings
- physical fitness to handle kitchen and field duties
- capability to learn and follow detailed instructions
Job Duties
- Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam, and saute as prescribed by Army recipes
- operate, maintain, and clean field kitchen equipment
- perform preventive maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment
- prepare and serve meals in both field and garrison settings
- order and inspect food supplies
- maintain kitchen safety and sanitation
- collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure meal quality
