Job Requirements

Be between the ages of 17-40
be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
possess a high school diploma or GED
submit to background and medical screening
receive a passing score on the ASVAB
meet physical fitness standards required by the U.S. Army

Job Qualifications

Possess a high school diploma or GED
interest in cooking, home economics, health, mathematics, accounting, and chemistry
pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)
ability to work in both team and independent settings
physical fitness to handle kitchen and field duties
capability to learn and follow detailed instructions

Job Duties

Bake, fry, braise, boil, simmer, steam, and saute as prescribed by Army recipes
operate, maintain, and clean field kitchen equipment
perform preventive maintenance on garrison and field kitchen equipment
prepare and serve meals in both field and garrison settings
order and inspect food supplies
maintain kitchen safety and sanitation
collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure meal quality
