Joining the ASC Culinary team as a Server at Aster Place Assisted Living allows you to play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience and well-being of senior residents. This full-time position offers day and evening shifts, providing stable work hours along with competitive wages. As a Server, you will be the face of the dining experience, directly influencing residents' enjoyment and comfort through attentive, personalized service. You will work closely with culinary leaders to meet the needs of residents and ensure that each meal is delivered with care and attention to detail. Beyond taking meal orders, your responsibilities include assisting in meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the dining and kitchen areas, and supporting team efforts to create a warm, welcoming environment.

Job Requirements

  • commitment to customer service and willingness to help others
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • availability to work full-time day and evening shifts
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as carrying trays and cleaning
  • good communication skills
  • basic food safety knowledge

Job Qualifications

  • commitment to customer service and willingness to help others
  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • one to three years related experience and/or training preferred
  • prior restaurant server experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively with seniors
  • basic food handling knowledge

Job Duties

  • Partner with culinary leaders to meet residents' needs and provide a positive dining experience
  • take resident meal orders as they are seated
  • assist in preparation of meal items
  • buss tables and wash dishes
  • maintain the dining room and kitchen area clean
  • provide attentive and courteous service to residents
  • support team efforts to uphold high standards of food safety and quality
