We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Culinary Prep Specialist to join the esteemed team at Ruth's Chris Steak House, a flagship venue under Prime Hospitality Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity for culinary enthusiasts wanting to hone their skills and contribute to a globally recognized restaurant brand known for quality and sophistication. The Culinary Prep Specialist works closely under the supervision of the Sous Chef or Manager-on-Duty, playing a crucial role in the preparation, portioning, and assembly of cold food items such as salads, appetizers, and desserts. Through adherence to strict recipe specifications and a commitment to culinary precision, the successful candidate ensures that every dish meets the high standards our guests expect. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- ability to work in extreme temperature conditions including a walk-in freezer at -10°F
- capable of lifting and handling items up to 50 pounds
- willingness to complete training programs and continuously learn
- availability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
- dependable and punctual work ethic
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- advanced knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment
- strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- effective communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques
- previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles preferred but not mandatory
Job Duties
- Prep, portion, and prepare all cold food items to meet the restaurant's recipe specifications
- execute food preparation procedures to guarantee highest quality and consistency
- assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the prep area
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food service
- comply with health and safety standards
- support inventory management by monitoring and reporting stock levels
- participate in ongoing training and development programs
