The role of Culinary Operations Manager at Texas Roadhouse is a leadership position focused on managing all Back of House operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency. This full-time position offers an attractive salary range from $70,304 to $90,000 annually, inclusive of performance-based bonuses, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding excellence and dedication. The Culinary Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire food production process, from purchasing and receiving ingredients to preparing and presenting dishes in accordance with Texas Roadhouse's established recipes and standards. This role requires a passion for scratch-made food and a keen eye for operational excellence.

As a Culinary Operations Manager, you will lead the Back of House team by supervising food preparation, maintaining strict adherence to recipes, enforcing safety and cleanliness standards, and monitoring productivity to ensure timely service. Your leadership will be pivotal in coaching and developing staff, conducting evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment that aligns with Texas Roadhouse's core values. Additionally, you will play an essential role in managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling labor expenses to optimize restaurant profitability. The position also involves hands-on responsibilities such as conducting taste and temperature checks to ensure food safety, overseeing the storage and maintenance of kitchen items, and training staff on equipment upkeep.

Job Requirements

  • previous experience in restaurant or culinary management

Job Duties

  • Supervising the food production and preparation adhering to established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with employment policies and ensuring cleanliness and safety within the restaurant
  • monitoring productivity to maintain effective food item ticket times
  • managing Back of House staff performance conducting evaluations coaching and discipline
  • assisting in the development of key employees and providing daily feedback during one-on-ones
  • conducting taste and temp checks to ensure inventory safety in the kitchen
  • overseeing the proper handling maintenance and storage of kitchen items
  • practicing and managing safe food handling procedures
  • managing food costs tracking waste and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing Back of House staff including scheduling and task assignments
  • training staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • reviewing applications and participating in the hiring process for Back of House employees
  • creating a safe enjoyable and clean work environment aligned with core values and operational goals
