Job Description

Outback Steakhouse, a renowned full-service restaurant chain specializing in Australian-themed dining, is seeking a Culinary Manager to lead its kitchen operations. Known for its signature dishes like the Bloomin' Onion and center-cut sirloin, Outback Steakhouse prides itself on delivering high-quality food and an exceptional dining experience. As a part of the Bloomin' Brands family, this establishment combines classic steakhouse fare with innovative hospitality, making it a favorite destination for guests looking to enjoy a memorable meal in a welcoming environment.

The Culinary Manager serves as the backbone of the 'Back of House' operations, ensuring that every dish served meets the restaurant's rigorous quality standards while simultaneously managing the dynamics of a busy kitchen. This pivotal role involves balancing the craftsmanship of food preparation with the business aspects of running a successful restaurant. The Culinary Manager will work closely with the management team to oversee daily kitchen shifts, maintain cleanliness and safety standards, manage staffing and scheduling, and foster a positive, high-energy environment where the culinary team is motivated and supported.

This leadership position demands a hands-on approach; the Culinary Manager mentors and guides kitchen staff, cultivates talent through recruiting and training, and ensures strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and food security protocols. In addition to maintaining the integrity of food quality and presentation, the role emphasizes responsiveness to guest feedback to build lasting brand loyalty and consistently deliver a premier dining experience. The ability to coordinate with other managers to maintain operational excellence and represent the restaurant in community marketing initiatives further highlights the comprehensive nature of this opportunity.

Outback Steakhouse values inclusivity and career growth, offering a work culture that supports professional development and advancement within the local region. This role is ideal for those passionate about culinary arts and restaurant management, eager to contribute to a dynamic team that values excellence, creativity, and a memorable guest experience. Employment terms vary by location and include potential bonus opportunities based on performance and eligibility. The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair treatment for all individuals regardless of background or protected characteristics.
