The Culinary Manager role at Topgolf is essential in maintaining the high standards for food quality and kitchen operations that the brand is known for. This position supports the Executive Culinary Manager by leading kitchen operations on a daily basis, including managing staff, inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. The Culinary Manager must be adept at coaching and developing a team in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment to consistently deliver excellent culinary experiences to guests. This role also demands a strong sense of ownership for the kitchen's performance, including attention to food costs, portion control, and maintaining consistent product quality.

As a Culinary Manager, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen line operations and events, ensuring all tasks are delegated and completed with quality and efficiency. You will lead recipe development and standardize production methods for consistent output, along with planning menus for special events and chef-choice occasions. The role requires managing food and labor costs to meet budget expectations while maintaining top-tier operational and culinary standards.

Flexibility is crucial in this role, as you will be expected to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak periods to support special events and high-volume service. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary management experience
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently and up to 75 pounds with assistance
  • Ability to navigate multi-level venue areas
  • Ability to work in varying temperature environments
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment while maintaining safety and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume environment
  • Culinary degree, professional culinary certification, or equivalent training and experience in a high-volume full-service kitchen and events-driven environment preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older as required by state or local law

Job Duties

  • Supervise the kitchen team in delivering best-in-class culinary experiences every shift
  • Coach and develop team members and drive engagement across the kitchen
  • Delegate tasks effectively and follow up to ensure completion and quality
  • Manage day-to-day line operations or events execution as assigned
  • Select and develop recipes to corporate approval and standardize production for consistent quality
  • Plan and cost menus for special events and chef-choice occasions
  • Monitor inventory levels and purchase product within budgetary guidelines
  • Maintain food and labor costs according to budget with a solid understanding of COGS
  • Oversee safety and sanitation in the kitchen in compliance with all regulations
  • Demonstrate Topgolf's core values
  • Support the Executive Culinary Manager in building a high-performance kitchen team
  • Participate in team development and model standards expected of all kitchen team members
