Job Description
Optimized Senior Living is a distinguished provider of senior living services located in Lebanon, Ohio. They specialize in creating warm, welcoming, and homelike environments where seniors feel valued and cared for daily. What sets Optimized Senior Living apart is their dedication to providing personalized care that enhances the quality of life for each resident. Their Lebanon campus is a vibrant community that prioritizes dignity, respect, and a homelike atmosphere for its residents.
The culinary team plays a vital role in the life of the residents, as meals are considered a meaningful and joyful part of every day. The Culinary Lead position at the Lebanon campus is a full-time role, focused on crafting exceptional home-style meals that nurture both the body and spirit. This position offers a unique opportunity to cook for residents with purpose, turning food into moments of connection and comfort, rather than merely feeding others.
The Culinary Lead at Optimized Senior Living leads the kitchen with passion, creativity, and hospitality. This role involves preparing daily meals that feel comforting, familiar, and restaurant-quality, presenting meals thoughtfully to enhance the dining experience for residents. The Culinary Lead builds relationships with residents by learning their food preferences, accommodating dietary and therapeutic needs, and ensuring favorite treats are always available. They take ownership of menu creation, meal planning for all Optimized locations, and balancing nutrition with variety and resident preferences. The role also includes prepping food ahead to maintain consistency, running an organized kitchen, and ensuring strict compliance with Ohio dietary codes and safety standards.
Working full-time with a stable schedule involving five 8-hour days without late-night shifts, the Culinary Lead primarily focuses on lunch and dinner services within three homes on the Lebanon campus. This role is ideal for someone who loves cooking from scratch, takes pride in food presentation, enjoys building community through food, and seeks a stable work-life balance in a hospitality-driven environment.
The Culinary Lead position offers more than a typical kitchen job. Unlike high-pressure restaurant roles that emphasize speed and volume, this role is about meaning, care, and making a difference in residents' daily happiness. The resident community looks forward to meals, and the Culinary Lead becomes an essential part of their lives. Staff enjoy a consistent schedule, creative input into menus, and the opportunity to prepare food that is genuinely appreciated in a warm, supportive culture.
Optimized Senior Living offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including paid training, flexible schedules, growth opportunities, and wellness support. The environment is family-like, where teamwork and care are paramount. If you are passionate about cooking and believe that food is an act of care, this role offers a rewarding career making a positive impact on seniors’ lives while enjoying a meaningful work experience creating meals that feel like home.
