Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous culinary experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time with a stable schedule
  • Willingness to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Capable of handling meal prep and kitchen organization
  • Strong attention to detail in meal presentation
  • Ability to accommodate dietary restrictions
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with residents
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with team members

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary or professional kitchen experience
  • Experience in restaurant, catering, private chef, or hospitality background
  • Knowledge of dietary needs or therapeutic diets is helpful but not required
  • Passion for cooking from scratch
  • Strong commitment to food presentation and quality
  • Ability to build relationships with residents through food
  • Hospitality-driven mindset
  • Creative menu planning skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare daily meals for residents
  • Cook meals that feel comforting, familiar, and restaurant-quality
  • Plate meals in an attractive and thoughtful way that enhances the dining experience
  • Learn resident favorites and personal preferences
  • Accommodate dietary needs and therapeutic diets
  • Create menus using Grove Menus
  • Plan meals for all Optimized locations
  • Balance nutrition, variety, and resident preferences
  • Bake fresh items for residents to enjoy
  • Prepare food ahead for days off to ensure consistency
  • Maintain an organized kitchen with proper food storage and inventory
  • Serve meals in resident rooms and shared dining spaces across three homes
  • Ensure compliance with Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3701-16-10
  • Maintain safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen standards
