As a Culinary Director at this boutique hotel, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the culinary vision and executing food service strategies that align with the hotel's brand and guest expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary leadership, preferably with experience as a Culinary Director or Executive Sous Chef in a hotel or high-volume food service environment. This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually and is open to candidates willing to relocate to Columbus, Ohio.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager, Director of Food & Beverage, Sales teams, Banquets, and other property partners to support a variety of events, programming, and strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass recruiting, training, developing, and retaining a high-performing culinary team. You will also be expected to maintain high culinary standards while fostering a positive, professional, and growth-oriented work environment.
Operational responsibilities include managing kitchen orders, inventory, food production, sanitation, and food safety compliance, along with overseeing equipment maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring culinary financial performance meets departmental budgetary goals, controlling food and labor costs, and maintaining inventory integrity.
This role demands a balance of creativity, leadership, financial acumen, and operational expertise. If you are passionate about creating extraordinary dining experiences, leading a talented culinary team, and contributing to the success of a prestigious boutique hotel, this opportunity in Columbus, Ohio is an excellent fit. The hotel provides relocation assistance for those moving to the area, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus eligibility, paid time off, medical, dental, vision coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
