Job Requirements

  • At least age 18
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two years of experience in quantity food production or similar
  • prep/cook level food handler permit
  • meet vaccination requirements
  • ability to safely perform job duties with appropriate physical strength
  • ability to communicate in English including medical terminology
  • experience with kitchen equipment usage
  • availability to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • two years of experience in quantity food production in a health care facility or similar competency level preferred
  • prep/cook level food handler permit required for Eventide campuses in Lancaster County
  • meet Eventide's vaccination requirements
  • strong communication skills including English language proficiency
  • ability to use standard and specialized kitchen equipment
  • physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards
  • follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving various food items
  • operate kitchen equipment to prepare ingredients and meals
  • provide personalized service during guest interactions
  • estimate food requirements and keep production records
  • assist with unloading, receiving, and stocking food supplies
  • clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas
