The FSU Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, a key venue under OVG’s management, is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Baker to join their dynamic team. Known for its 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, and an arena-view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille, the center hosts a variety of events ranging from basketball games to large catered functions and trade shows. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a venue that draws over 2,000 guests for many of its signature events, requiring a baker who embodies passion, creativity, and a high standard of culinary craftsmanship.
The Culinary Baker role is vital to supporting the center’s largest catering events and enhancing the quality of the food offerings. This position is perfect for individuals currently working in quality-driven restaurants, hotels, or bakeries who are looking to expand their experience in a fast-paced, event-oriented setting. Job Requirements
- 2-3+ years of current or previous work in a quality-driven restaurant, hotel, or bakery
- passion, creativity, and a standard of excellence in culinary craft
- ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
- ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests
- ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- possess a valid food handling certificate (ServSafe) as required by state and federal regulations
